The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. (Please email your sighting's to lobas@btinternet.com or Tweet to @BirdsofClimping).

Knowing the Golf club would be shut I ventured out into the snow. With blizzard like conditions blowing snow into my bino's did well to see the following. 3 Stonechat, 1 Rock Pipit, on West Beach, a total of 75 Redwing, 46 Fieldfare, moving west and some lingering on the golf course, along with 7 flushed Snipe, and 6 Golden Plover heading south east, and a Water Rail calling from the reedbed. Also good numbers of Meadow Pipit feeding and many small flocks of flyover Skylarks.
