24 September, 2015

A bit disappointing this morning…. I waited until the rain stopped and did from 0915 to 1200 at Atherington and the old campsite. Bailiffscourt was a complete waste of time with the gardeners mowing/strimming/leaf blowing.

I spent some time doing the trees for an early YBW but no luck!
All I managed were 25 Blackcaps, 15 Chiffs, 3-4 Goldcrests, a Grey Wagtail (bailiffs), a Tree Pipit (horse paddock), 30 Meadow pipits, only 1 Whitethroat and not a single Wheatear! There was a steady stream of Swallows and a few House martins moving east, but not big numbers, plus 20+ Siskin E. Also a Little Egret in the campsite compound.
