The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. Still at least 2000 Sylark in the area today but could onle see 2 Woodlark. 3 Woodcock with one in off the sea. Still plenty of flocks of mainly Fieldfare moving and smaller number of Redwing. A flock of 30 Linnet flew east along Climping Beach, and offshore a a flock 220 Wigeon were close inshore. Another flock of about 80 Wigeon flew west. Also 1e Gannet and 1w Red Throated Diver, 45 Brent Geese 2e shelduck and several small groups of Red B Mergansers on the sea. 12 Bewick Swans in the field north of the golf course, 6 adult, 2 showing yellow tags around their neck. Supporting cast being 1 Golden Plover, 15 Grey Plover, 6 Curlew, 20 Sanderling, 1 Buzzard and Grey Partridge heard from Ballifscourt, 1 Stonechat, 1 Grey Heron, and 5 Snipe.
