The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. A notable increase in Chiffchaffs (40+) and Blackcaps (30+) today, with a supporting cast of Wheatear – 5, Yellow Wagtail – 2, Grey Wagtail - 2, Whitethroat – 7, Meadow Pipit – 20 and Tree Pipit – 1. At sea were Gannet – 10, Sandwich Tern – 24 (mainly going E), Med Gull – 2, Wigeon - 7 E and Teal – 1 E. The set-aside strip held 2 Grey Partridges
