5 Little Tern a single Whimbrel and 3 Sandwich Tern west of Climping Beach at 17:45

A few first for the year with a Hobby tracking east over the golf course and a Green Sandpiper on the flooded field Ferry Road being the high lights.

Elmer Rocks – Poole Place: I sea-watched for a couple of hours (from 08:10hrs) and the first hour or so proved to be interesting, with some passage at last and my first Bonxie and Yellow Wagtail of the year, before it slowed right down as the cloud lifted. A search for passerines produced 3 Wheatears near Poole Place but not too much else. (OM)
