A mid morning visit to Climping Beach was as expected full of dog walkers. Small numbers of both Sandwich Tern and Gannet feeding offshore, a total of 7 Curlew flew west, a single Med Gull roosting amongst the Black-headed, Herring and Great BB Gulls along the tide line and 2 Grey Partridge in the fields.

Predictably quiet around the golf course and west beach this morning, evidence of breeding success with several Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Mute Swan, Mallard, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit Starling and Blackbird to name a few. Cetti's Warbler, Blackcap and Chiffchaff still calling, five Sand Martin flying west was the only highlight.
