Started at Elmer Rocks where there was little on offer, although up to 20 Rb Mergansers were offshore with 3 Gt Crested Grebes, plus 9 Oystercatchers on the rocks with c.30 Grey Plovers.

I then walked from Poole place to Atherington set-aside and back. Most of the activity was on Cudlow’s field however, where there were 65 Ringed Plovers, 2 Golden Plover,  2 Dunlin, 10 Oystercatchers, 30 Skylarks, 3 Rock Pipits and 6 Pied Wagtails.

There were another 35 Skylarks, 2 Meadow Pipits and 2 Reed Buntings on the set-aside but I failed to find anything else of interest.

Bailiffscourt was also quiet with nothing of note in the woods.(OM)
