Good coverage of the patch today produced a little variety in the form of a Purple Sandpiper with Turnstone from the car park climping beach and a 1cy Little Gull amongst the large numbers of Gulls west of the Mill, both found by GK and his Grandad. Also thousands of hirundine moving through and hundreds of Meadow Pipit feeding in the fields.

A Kingfisher and Common Sandpiper along the River by the Marina this morning. Good numbers of Chiifchaff still in the patch with  at least 35 recorded and smaller  numbers of Blackcap. Singles of Stonechat, Spot Fly, Wheatear and Sparrowhawk, scattered groups of Meadow Pipit as well as 16 House Martin through. A few waders on the beach including Sanderling, Ringed Plover and Turnstone. (ES)

Two Shearwaters arching west at Climping Beach at 11:00 & 11:10 this morning were too far out for positive ID, but seemed slightly bigger than Manx.
