Another fine bright morning, although a tad cold and windy first thing. Good numbers of Gannet again following a pair of trawlers, a single Eider off poole place and at last some House Martin and Swift in off the sea.

About the same as yesterday, although a  Spotted Flycatcher around Atherington, Coal Tit and again Little Owl around Bailiffscourt. A Mistle Thrush in poole place gardens which now most of the building works has finished looks encouraging. A Whimbrel and 4 Oystercatcher flew west, with 2 Common Tern lingering offshore with 5 Great-crested Grebe.

Not a lot of anything  around the golf course and beyond this morning although Reed, Sedge and Cetti's Warbler still present in song, along with Whitethroat, Chiffchaff and Blackcap. A male Bullfinch, from the back of the footpath, and 4 Grey Partridge in the fields. Sparrowhawk on nest, a couple of Buzzard, Kestrel and Little Owl, with both Great and Green Woodpecker and a Little Egret.

Offshore on a low tide, 19 Mediterranean Gull west, 8 Great-crested Grebe, c.30 Gannet following a pair of trawlers and small numbers of Sandwich Tern.

Very quiet at Climping this morning with the highlight being a Red Kite drifting overhead east near Climping Primary School. Several Gannets feeding offshore with small numbers of Commic and Sandwich Tern. 4 Great-crested Grebe on the sea, 2 Whimbrel flew west and a single Wheatear at Climping beach. 4 Buzzard, singles of Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Jay.

At Marsh Farm mid afternoon a Red Kite flew north west towards Ford Railway station and a Cuckoo calling and flying around the big pool and a  Great-crested Grebe there. 3 Little Egret along with several Buzzards and Yellowhammers being the best of the rest.

A slow morning offshore at Climping Wednesday morning with a Great Skua and a flock of 60+ Gannets around a pair of trawlers being the main events, and a Common Sandpiper on the breakwaters.

The Black Guillemot again off Climping Beach this morning, about 300 yards west of the car park. Little else moving offshore with 7 Bar-tailed Godwit east, and about 40 Gannet again following a pair of trawlers, and small numbers of Commic and Sandwich Tern. Nothing else of note apart from 3 Swift flying  east over the old camp site my first of the year.
