The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. A very cold damp gloomy morning at Climping this morning, with the sea looking calm and lots of birds sitting on the sea. With c.600 Brent Geese and a further c.500 moving east, Red-throated Divers present again in good numbers with c.30 on the sea and a least 37 east. Good numbers of both Great-crested Grebe with c. 50 present and c.70 Common Scoter. Just 2 Mediterranean Gull and a couple of Common Gull, 4 Shelduck flew west. A Seal present close inshore, 39 Sanderling and c.75 Turnstone along the shoreline.
