The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. (Please email your sighting's to lobas@btinternet.com or Tweet to @BirdsofClimping).

A fine bright sunny morning took me up to the river mouth where 35 Sanderling, 5 Oystercatchers and 20 Turnstone feeding on the out going tideline. From the dunes at west beach 1 Stonchat and 7 Meadow Pipit. Onto the Mill and the back of the golf course, which again was very quiet with just 1 Bullfinch, 4 Reed Bunting, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, 4 Skylark and a Great-spotted Woodpecker.
