A fine bright sunny morning took me up to the river mouth where 35 Sanderling, 5 Oystercatchers and 20 Turnstone feeding on the out going tideline. From the dunes at west beach 1 Stonchat and 7 Meadow Pipit. Onto the Mill and the back of the golf course, which again was very quiet with just 1 Bullfinch, 4 Reed Bunting, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, 4 Skylark and a Great-spotted Woodpecker.

A walk from the car park up to poole place and back produced c.140 Sanderling along the incoming tide line, c.500 Brent Geese in the fields along with 43 Curlew, 65 Med Gull flew out of the back fields and landed on the sea, 40 Skylark, 15 Meadow Pipit and 23 Pied Wagtail. Offshore 1w Red-throated Diver and 9 Oystercatcher east.

A mixed flock of Scoter with at least 3 Velvet off Climping beach early afternoon, plenty of Med Gull riding waves along the beach, a Black Redstart at Poole Place and a Firecrest at Atherington Pools in horrid conditions.

Another horrible wet grey morning at Climping, with the Brent Geese flock totalling c.350 probably more but constantly on the move due to the persistent crow scares, with 33 Curlew in the field east of bread lane. Hundreds of Herring Gull moving east, along the beach with c.75 Med Gull 15 Sanderling. A single juv Kittiwake flew east close inshore and a Auk sp. flew west. Also small numbers of Gannet, Great-crested Grebe and Red-breasted Merganser offshore. In the fields a total of 17 Grey Partridge c.60 Skylark, 22 Pied Wagtail, and 12 Meadow Pipit in the fields west of the car park.
