Another fine warm sunny morning at Climping with little to shout about, just 5 Mediterranean Gull offshore, and 2 Stonechat and 2 Kestrel being the only birds of note, with the usual fare of Meadow Pipits, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Reed Warbler.

A brief visit to Marsh Farm produced a little variety with a Red Kite and  singles of Common Tern, Cetti's Warbler, Red Legged Partridge, Bullfinch with several of both Yellowhammer and Reed Warbler in evidence 3 Buzzard and 7 Swift.

A mid morning visit to Climping Beach was as expected full of dog walkers. Small numbers of both Sandwich Tern and Gannet feeding offshore, a total of 7 Curlew flew west, a single Med Gull roosting amongst the Black-headed, Herring and Great BB Gulls along the tide line and 2 Grey Partridge in the fields.

Predictably quiet around the golf course and west beach this morning, evidence of breeding success with several Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Mute Swan, Mallard, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit Starling and Blackbird to name a few. Cetti's Warbler, Blackcap and Chiffchaff still calling, five Sand Martin flying west was the only highlight.

Out and about around Marsh Farm in the showers this afternoon produced a nice surprise in the form of a Turtle Dove purring  away sitting on pylons around the big pool, also good numbers of Yellowhammer in evidence, and at least 5 Cetti's Warbler in the area.

A nice leisurely walk around Marsh Farm this morning, fifty six species noted only 1 species of wildfowl and no waders whatsoever, highlights below.
