Glorious day out and about, started my walk from the back of the golf course were it was soon evident that there was still good numbers of Firecrest in the area, personally I had 12 today probably more, with 17 Chiffchaff and 5 Goldcrest. My first 3Wheatear of the year were in the field off bread lane and received a text from Mavis who had 5 on west beach. Small groups of Meadow Pipits and Linnets in and around the golf course, singles of Grey Heron and Little Egret, 4 Reed Bunting and a couple of Med Gull flew overhead.
The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. (Please email your sighting's to lobas@btinternet.com or Tweet to @BirdsofClimping).

A couple of visits to the patch today still did not produce the hoped for migrants, although with at least 10 Firecrest in the area and good numbers of Meadow Pipit in the fields, birds are certainly on the move.
