A fine day starting with a chilly north east breeze, things warming up mid morning and the breeze swinging around to ESE. The highlight of the morning was a Hoopoe seen in flight at the back of the Mill Cottage at 10:23, the bird was watched heading north east over the rife that runs upto the old railway carriages and lost to view. The subsequent search failed to relocate the bird.
