Sea watch from Climping cap park this morning in a NW wind produced 7w Gannet, 2w Grey Plover, 1w Razorbill, 4e Common Scoter, 26w Brent Geese, 12w Sanderling, 5e Med Gull, and 6 Ringed Plover on the beach. The highlight of the day was a Merlin flying west over Atherington pools. 2 Stonechat, 2 Chiffchaff, and a couple of Goldcrest were the only other birds seen in blustery conditions.

Very quiet yesterday in the patch a cloudy start with bright intervals and a hint of a westerly breeze. Small numbers of Swallow over the dunes and several of both Pied Wagtail and Meadow Pipit.
