West Beach this morning |
The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. A very wet grey morning in the patch with the Cetti's Warbler still calling and showing in the reedbed, from the footpath at the back of the golf course, also 1 Redwing and a Kingfisher. The best count for a while of at least 24 Grey Partridge in the area, with supporting cast of 8 Stonechat, 3 Reed Bunting, 3 Jay, 2 Sparrowhawk, 42 Skylark, 45 Goldfinch, 30 Meadow Pipit, 4 Goldcrest, 2 Chiffchaff 1 Blackcap 3 Med Gull and singles of both Little Egret and Curlew.
