The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. Around the local farm this afternoon with a Little-ringed Plover in a flooded field, the site is on private land so not put out on the local birdlines. Also 1 Cetti's Warbler, 15 Swallow, 1 Sedge Warbler, 8 Lapwing, 3 Buzzard, 1 Shelduck, 6 Tufted Duck, 1 Teal, and good numbers of Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Reed Bunting and Yellowhammer.
Goods number of migrants in the patch today although nothing that was not expected, with 34 Willow Warbler, 26 Blackcap, 18 Chiffchaff, 5 Wheatear, 12 Swallow, 2 Reed Bunting, 2 Grey Partridge and 2 Sparrowhawk.
