Have received a picture report of a dead Shag recently found at the river mouth, not a common bird on the patch so it is very sad to see.

The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. The Kumlien's and Glaucous Gull both viewable from the river mouth this morning, and 3 Little Gull in fields west of the mill cottage. Offshore 1e Diver spa, 1e Kittiwake, 9e Brent Geese, 40 Mediterranean Gull, 60 Oystercatcher 18 Grey Plover 40 Sanderling 1 Dunlin 2 Water Rail in the reed pool behind the golf course and 2 Buzzard.
