Pretty quiet at Climping this morning just 3e Red-throated Diver, 1w Bar-tailed Godwit, 3w Med Gull, and 4 Red-breasted Merganser offshore, 93 Oystercatcher, 110 Sanderling, 46 Grey Plover, 2 Dunlin 1 Brent Goose, 1 Snipe, 2 Stonechat, 3 Redwing and a Little Egret.
The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. 1 Black-throated Diver on the sea at Climping Beach this morning along with 7w 3e and 4 os Red-throated Diver, and a further 3w 2e Diver spa. 4e 2w Gannet, 11e 4w Red-breasted Merganser, and 3 Great-crested Grebe os. 50 Brent Geese still in the flooded fields west of the car park along with 2 Dunlin, 5 Med Gull, 20 Grey Plover and 33 Oystercatcher. On the shoreline 42 Sanderling and 85 Turnstone. 2 Stonechat, 3 Fieldfare and 2 Redwing in the horse fields.
Wed 5 Feb - Marsh Farm 1 Water Rail, 3 Gadwall, 3 Tufted Duck, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Buzzard, 3 Grey Heron and a Bullfinch.
