Had a look around several parts of the local area today, first off was a look around the fields north of the golf course, 3 Bullfinch flew out the trees as I walked the path, 1 Little Egret out of the ditch. Onto Climping Beach were there was no wind and a flat calm sea,  but a bit of passage in the cold conditions with 1e Great Skua , 10e Red-throated Diver, 1e Shelduck with several of both Great-crested Grebe and Red-breasted Mergansers offshore.
Onto Marsh Farm where there was at least 200 Teal on the main pool. Also 16 Gadwall, 6 Shelduck, 3 Shoveler, 1 Little Egret, 1 Buzzard and 10 Yellowhammer,
and a suealing Water Rail from the reedbed. Scanning the pool I picked out the bird of the morning,in the shape of  a
Red Headed SMEW.
