Combined totals for Climping Gap today include a showy Grasshopper Warbler (2nd day) and a Spotted Flycatcher , also 3 Whinchat, 2 Redstart, about 40 Common Whitethroats were logged, with at least 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Garden Warbler, 4 Reed and 1 Sedge Warbler, a few Blackcaps and 15+ Wheatears and several overhead Yellow Wagtails. Three of the 'regular' Little Owls appeared again today, and offshore a couple of Little Tern off West Beach. |
The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades.
