The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. Early evening stroll around the farm this evening produced a lot of activity on the big pool, with 2 Common Tern, singles of both Little and Great C Grebe, 1 Kingfisher, 3 drake Tufted Duck, 1 Cetti's Warbler heard, and several Swallow. Good numbers of Reed and Sedge Warbler, along with Whitethroat, and 1 Lesser of the former. 3 Lapwing flying west and several Swift in the area along with 1 Buzzard.

A good day's birding which started at Climping 0830, must try and get up earlier as the passage today wasvery promising with 2e Pomarine Skua, 2e Black-throated Diver, 1e Great Skua, 48e Scoter, 40e Little Tern, 2 Auk sp, 31e 9w Commic Tern, 28e 10w Sandwich Tern, 9e Whimbrel, 35w Sanderling, 3e Little Egret and 1n Yellow Wagtail.
Mid afternoon took a stroll around up Black ditch which produced nothing spectacular, but good numbers of Whitethroat and Reed Warbler present, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 4-5 Buzzard, 1 Kingfisher, and Cetti's Warbler heard
