The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. New bird for the patch list
Highlight today was a first year DOTTREL in the second pea field, north east from the main car park at Climping Beach. Supporting cast inclued 1 Hobby in off the sea at 0720, 1 Ring Ouzel, 7 Wheatear, 1 Little Egret and 1 Grey Heron. Offshore, 23W 4E Whimbrel, 1E Common Scoter, 16W 3E Gannet, 14E 4W Sandwich Tern, 3W Dunlin, 3W Fulmar, 8W Common Tern, 1W Bar T Godwit, and 2 Great C Grebe.
