Big improvement on the quality today with 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank, 2 Whinchat, 20 Whitethroat, 15 Willow Warbler, 15 Sand Martin, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Little Owl, and a Sparrowhawk.
Yesterday produced 88w 29e Gannet, 1w Fulmar, 5 Little Egret and 9 Med Gull.
The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. Had a stroll around Black Ditch this evening, 1 Cuckoo, 2 Green Sandpiper and 1 Buzzard being the highlights.
Quick visit to Marsh Farm this afternoon produced 4 Little and a single Great-crested Grebe, 2 Bullfinch, several Blackcap and Willow Warbler, and good numbers of Reed Warbler.
Combined totals for the morning include at least 30 Willow Warbler in the area, c100 Swift drifting from Climping School towards the golf course and 6 Wheatear there, also good numbers of Reed and Sedge Warbler, 5 Little Egret, 1 Sparrowhawk, and 1 Grey Heron Very quiet offshore with small numbers of Common and Sandwich Tern and a couple of distant Gannet.
