Feeling a bit rough this morning with a heavy cold type thing, though ok, but did 2hrs along the local beach and Poole Place. Still very quiet, just a few bits to mention... cheers OM

Brent Goose - 69 feeding in the field west of Poole place
Raven - the almost tail-less bird appeared again on Elmer beach, trying to feed, but was soon harassed by gulls...it flew east towards Poole Place, then a short while later came back westwards - still pursued by gulls.
Red-throated Diver - 1W
Great Northern Diver - 1 flew east half-way out, soon after the RTD, before being lost to view. It took me a while to convince myself, but it then dropped onto the sea which was a bit choppy, before being lost to view....and just about enough to claim.

Met up with OM at Poole Place, but very quiet offshore with just a few Red-throated Diver moving distantly east & west, small numbers of Gannet moving west, with about 25 feeding around the weather station, singles of Great- crested Grebe and 2 Auk sp with just a few Med Gull feeding along the tideline.
22 Brent Geese in the field west of Poole Place with 14 Oystercatcher, c175 Turnstone around the rocks with 15 Sanderling. Plenty of Skylark still in the fields and 2-3 Chiffchaff with a Goldcrest in Longwood was about it.
