A stroll around Marsh Farm this morning found the area void of wildfowl with both ponds frozen.

A late afternoon walk around the fields north of the golf course found at least one of my intended targets with a Woodcock flushed from the other side of the reedbed, also 2 Peregrine, 2 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 40+ Song Thrush, 5 Fieldfare, 6 Reed Bunting, 1 Stonechat, 1 Lapwing, 4 Meadow Pipit, 3 Skylark and 10 Linnet.

Adam Huttly lead 9 SOS members around Climping on wed17/01/23  and saw a total of 39 species.

Red-Throated Divers, Gannets, Grey Plovers, Turnstones, Grey Plovers, Sanderling and a Sandwich Tern were best of sea / beach 
Stock Doves, Fieldfare, Med and Common Gulls were in the fields West of Bread Lane.
Set-aside; 2 Reed Buntings,  5 Skylarks, 2 Stonechats were present.
Ringed Plover numbers were probably c75 across both the Mill field and Cudlow field.
Big flock of c35 Lapwing were in the sky North and we found 4 on the deck in the fields West of Bread Lane.
Greenfinches, Linnets and Goldfinches all present.
2 Yellow Hammer were in the trees by the School.

Just a brief visit this morning with a single of both Jack and Common snipe, the 1st winter Little Gull still flying around the field west of the Mill, 3 Stonechat in the setaside and 12 Lapwing flew west over the school.

Three Little Gull in the area today with 2 west of the Mill and a single in Cudlow field late afternoon. 2 Jack Snipe, 4 Stonechat, the best of the rest this morning and 4 Pintail west late afternoon.  A Purple Sandpiper on west beach reported by (CU) with Turnstone 200yds west of the River late afternoon.
