A productive morning in an uninspiring northly wind, with the undoubted highlight being  21 White Storks moving west over Poole Place picked up late from the car park, but never the less a great sight to see. Supporting cast with Short-eared Owls, Hobby, and briefs views of  unidentified Harrier, combined Totals below.

 An afternoon visit to the patch found a Pied Fly bottom of Long Wood, a Whinchat along West Beach and 7 Wheatear in the area, also a Common Sandpiper along the River. A Redstart reported by (MH) also at the bottom of Long Wood.

 23 White Storks seen over Rustington and then later over Ford Prison heading north west was rather frustrating as not picked up from the patch, highlight was another Pied Fly First wood (DB) with a good variety and numbers up on the last few days. Combined totals below.

 Did my route from Arundel to LA at the last minute largely after seeing the report about up to 23 White Storks heading that way. Seen over the Lyminster area from 12.43 to 12.48. Not much else in the rain and with a high tide, but recorded my highest count of Med Gulls for the route at 330 (all but two south of the Ship+Anchor). Also 12 Common Sandpipers, 1 Dunlin, 12 Little Egrets, 5 Buzzards, 3 Kingfishers and 1 Grasshopper Warbler. (MD)
