The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. Yesterday mid morning c.50 Med Gull along the tideline, 2 Buzzard, 1 Stonechat, 5 Pied Wagtail, 3 Goldcrest, 2 Song Thrush, 3 Jay and a Common Sandpiper inn the Marina.

At Climping beach this morning in very grey dark conditions, produced very little of interest offshore with 45 mainly adult Med Gull along the shoreline and small numbers of Brent Geese.

A few birds of note this morning, particularly a pair of Goosander east, quite close, and 5 Pintail west. Also very good numbers of Med Gull, at least 60, but probably many more, almost all adult. Otherwise quiet on the sea, with 8 Red-breasted Merganser, and 4 Diver sp west. (RG)
