The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. (Please email your sighting's to lobas@btinternet.com or Tweet to @BirdsofClimping).

A cold bright sunny morning around the patch produced very little with just 25 Sanderling, 6 Grey Plover and 1 Med Gull West Beach and just a single Meadow Pipit there. A Little Egret on the Golf Course and 5 Grey Partridge in the field west of the Mill. Singles of Treecreeper, Jay, Great-spotted Woodpecker and 4 Goldcrest in Firstwood, and singles of both Common Sanpiper and Redshank in the Marina.

A brief visit for me around the patch this morning produced the usual fare offshore from the car park, with c.60 Gannet, 70 Brent Geese, 20 Common Scoter, 5 Great Crested Grebe and small numbers of both Sanderling and Turnstone on the tideline.
