The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. Marsh Farm this morning was rather productive with the highlight being a Red Kite that drifted north up the valley (08:30-11:20)

Spent about an hour at Climping beach from 11:50, very quiet apart from 1w Great-northern Diver a few Red-breasted Merganser offshore, 11e Brent Geese with 22 on the sea. Small numbers of Sanderling and Turnstone on the beach and 3 Goldcrest in the bushes.

A cold grey morning even with a southerly wind found me at Climping beach were once again there was very little moving offshore, highlight being a Slavonian Grebe drifting west.
