The Climping Gap remains one of the last undeveloped sites along the coast in West Sussex. This site is dedicated to Birds seen in and around the Climping Gap area by myself and a few die hard friends, that live in the area and have been birding the local patch for decades. A White-fronted Goose flying east over Bailiffscourt this afternoon was the highlight of a brieft visit, with c350 Brent Geese and 22 Lapwing in the field east of the hotel. A Kingfisher flew onto the rocks at Poole Place, and singles of Grey & Ringed Plover on the beach with small numbers of Sanderling, Oystercatcher and Turnstone. A Grey Wagtail in the car park, c30nSkylark, and singles of Reed Bunting & Stonechat in the area.
