Glaucous Gull content sitting in field in Goring at 15:45
Pretty quiet in the patch this morning, with the golf course open fewer Gulls around the course although a 1st Winter Little Gull still present and a further 6-7 Little Gull commuting between the beach off Climping and the adjacent fields. Also 3 Med Gull, c.50 Grey Plover, a Water Rail squealing from the reedbed and singles of Buzzard Sparrowhawk and  Stonechat.

Little Gull

11 January, 2016

A 1st winter GLAUCOUS GULL flew east past West Beach at 10:25 this morning, it did a half loop at the river mouth then continued east and lost to view. Hopefully it will linger in the area and could join the many Gulls on East Beach. Also this morning at least 6 Little Gull on the golf course with  5 Mediterranean, singles of Kingfisher, Grey Heron, and Sparrowhawk and 2 Reed Bunting.

07 January, 2016

At least 7 Little Gull on and around the golf course this morning, probably a few more in the area.   47 Grey Plover roosting in the fields west of the course, also 1 Kingfisher, 1w Med Gull and 3w Red-breasted Merganser. With the golf course currently closed the course is turning into a roost so hopefully something else will drop in soon. Visitors are reminded that there is no public access to the course, access from the footpath that runs behind which is very muddy.
