Nothing new to report over the last few days apart from my first Swift of the year over the golf course on wed 22nd a Peregrine hunting at the back of the golf course, and a couple of Yellow Wagtails over head. Today 14 Common Tern flew east,  a Bar-tailed Godwit with a few Whimbrel  offshore this evening.

20 April, 2015

A fine day starting with a chilly north east breeze, things warming up mid morning and the breeze swinging around to ESE. The highlight of the morning was a Hoopoe seen in flight at the back of the Mill Cottage at 10:23, the bird was watched heading north east over the rife that runs upto the old railway carriages and lost to view. The subsequent search failed to relocate the bird.
